I do a lot of reading, watch TED talks and also receive lots of inspirational e mails on the subjects of leadership, coaching and mindfulness. In order to be able to perfect your craft you need to learn from the experts; and then incorporate that learning into your work. But it is essential to remain YOU rather than a pale imitation of somebody else. Love this article by Lolly Daskal on qualities to include in a leadership manifesto. She begins with authenticity ….. https://www.lollydaskal.com/leadership/leadership-manifesto-guide-greatness/
Huffington Post honored Lolly with the title of ‘The Most Inspiring Woman in the World’. She certainly inspires me. I was also very inspired by this ‘code for life’ sent to me by one of the wonderful women I see through the ‘Listening Service‘ which I offer at Bolton at Home.
I Choose…
To live by choice
Not by chance
To make changes
Not excuses
To be motivated
Not manipulated
To be useful
Not used
To excel
Not compete
I choose self esteem
Not self pity
I choose to stand strong
Not to join the crowd
To be one among many
I choose… to be me
Have a great week and keep investing in your personal and professional development, in order to become the very best version of yourself and, if I can help you to become that, do get in touch.
